Kahlil Gibran's "Jesus the Son of Man" is a magical book filled with facts about Jesus' life interwoven with complete fantasy. It would be best to only read this book if you have already read the New Testament/5(48). Mounce's treatment is fresh and inviting. His chronology is a bit dubious at first, but he maintains a conservative outlook at last.
Reading it as from Jesus Himself is a refreshing approach. It begins with Jesus' birth, ending with the crucifiction & resurrection. Written from Jesus' perspective.4/4(21).
